PM Pham Minh Chinh has urged the acceleration of construction of T3 passenger terminal of Tan Son Nhat airport and Long Thanh airport so that the projects can be put into operation before April 30, 2025 and in the first half of 2026, respectively.
Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) Joint Stock Company has signed an agreement with Changi Airports International (CAI) during the ongoing Singapore Airshow 2024 from February 20-25.
Cam Ranh International Terminal JSC has signed a cooperation agreement with Singapore’s Changi Airport International to deploy automatic check-in services, entry registration via mobile apps, use of artificial intelligence in luggage transportation.
During the peak period of the 2024 Lunar New Year from January 26 to February 24, it is estimated that the airport will handle approximately 860-900 flights, and an average of around 135,000-140,000 passengers each day.
This certification came nine months after the Da Nang City-based airport receiving a 4-star rating from Skytrax thanks to its efforts in improving facilities and services to enhance passenger experience.
The expansion of passenger terminal T2 at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi City is set to commence next year, with the goal of increasing its annual passenger capacity from 10 million to 15 million.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, chair of the Coordinating Council for Red River Delta Region, when presiding over the council’s conference late last week, mentioned a plan to develop one more international airport in the southern part of the region.
Airports throughout the country have served more than 50.5 million passengers and handled 905,000 tonnes of goods in 2014, year-on-year increases of 14.7 percent and 18 percent, respectively.
