GENERAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Social compliance system: Maintaining the social compliance over the requirements from labor laws and relevant laws, local and international standards and the Code of Conduct or standards from customers within company, its branches and suppliers in the supply chain.
- Managing compliance of supply chain: Monitoring social compliance audits’ CAPA and support to upgrading the social compliance performance at its chain
- Develop and maintain sustainability: Responsible to coordinate and support the assigned and defined sustainability tasks over the stages of deployment, implementation, monitoring, measuring and reports over the programs and projects from company, Group, customers and government.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & AUTHORITIES:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
SYSTEM MANAGEMENT:
- Regularly review the intergrated management system (IMS), social compliance system and sustainability system with recommendations for closing the system gaps. Ensure having sufficient and simplified policies, procedures, work instructions, forms and maintain the system both in hard and soft copies.
- Ensure up-to-date the compliance profile and tool-kits
- Arrange communication for the awareness on the management systems and tool-kits to team members and people at relevant functions.
- Ensure social compliance and business risks be escalated to management with proposal on solutions.
- Working with relevant functional people on root causes analysis and workable/practical CAPA (corrective action and preventive action) plan on request.
- Develop necessary social compliance and sustainability training materials and arrange the awareness to relevant people and management for both company and supply chain.
MONITORING & ENHANCEMENT:
- Immediately escalate the serious/critical and/or potential risks found/detected during the compliance monitoring to management with proper proposed solutions for business and HSE risks eliminating.
- Conduct social compliance audits, assessments, reviews regularly to evaluate and verify the compliance and risks over the requirements from laws and standards for all factories and suppliers if needed.
- Prepare and handle social compliance audits and verifications from external third parties, customers and government. Also, monitor and coordinate the compliance and sustainability projects.
- Ensure to close all the NCs from the CAPA for all the audits.
- Weekly/monthly reports on the compliance status (best/poor practices) with remediation and prevention proposal if needed.
- Participate in required meetings, seminars/workshops, internal/external trainings and company/department activities.
- Assist and support team members and compliance related teams in maintaining compliance system.
- Do other tasks or assignments by direct supervisor.
AUTHORITIES:
- Hold the right to call for meeting discussing, reporting and requesting on social compliance/sustainability condition, issues/challenges and performance status.
- To provide inputs and propose enhancement on social compliance/sustainability management systems.
- To recommend management on stopping production processes, production lines, production areas or production units having crucial compliance violations or critical dangers and risks to the company and the life of employees. Also the suspension or disapproval of suppliers in supply chain.
- Manage and propose the disciplinary action to the ESG team members.
DUTIES RELATED ESG AND 5S:
- Manage 5S implementation at the department
- Ensure the implementation of adequate working tools and PPEs if need
- Ensure the daily implementation of HSE and safety cautions at workplace
- Escalation of ESG issues/questions from employees to related functions and follow-up on the respond over the required compliance.
- Educate team members, good example to team members
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
INTERNAL:
- Professionally cooperate with relevant departments, functions on maintaining the flow of the business, the implemention and improvement of the E.S.G and sustainability system.
EXTERNAL:
- Professionally cooperate with all the people from local authorities and stakeholders in maintaining the business.
