The Strategic Planning Director's main duty is to make sure that all work completed by the agency has a solid strategic foundation and can provide high-value consulting to our customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Participate in client briefing sessions (or delegate members of the Strategic Planning team).
• Determine and implement the most effective strategy for gathering pertinent consumer insights/data, category information, and macro trends (quantitative and qualitative) relevant to the brief.
• Analyze the information/insights from the research and develop a strategic direction to guide creative development.
• Inform creative teams of the project needs and monitor the development of creative concepts. Ensure the ideas follow the ideation process and align with the project's predetermined goals and strategic direction.
• Create a strategic plan and, as necessary, select measurable KPIs for marketing communications campaigns. This typically requires close coordination between planners, media specialists/agencies, and market research agencies.
• Present strategic plans to clients, offering advice and assistance in determining the best course of action for achieving their goals.
• Establish a productive working relationship between the agency's other departments and the planning team..
• Mentor and support young strategic talents in the department.
