Read content and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Rewrite copy to make it easier for readers to understand.
Verify facts using standard reference sources.
Evaluate submissions from writers to decide what to publish.
Work with writers to help their ideas and stories succeed.
Plan (with the team's members) the design of publications according to the publication’s style and editorial policy.
Develop story and content ideas while being mindful of the audience.
Use relevant design softwares and trained skills to lay out, design and edit the content.
Allocate space for the text, photos, and illustrations that make up a story.
Job Requirement
An academic background in English/education/linguistics
Proficiency of English – minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Intermediate ability with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong language skills are essential to ensure that all written content has correct grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
Work independently, work in groups and meet deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills, and ability to be a team player.
Familiarity with teaching Maths and Science in English is a plus.
Know how to use InDesign, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is an advantage.
