Job Summary:

• We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Furniture Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospitality furniture construction, with a strong ability to use AutoCAD 2D & 3D for creating and interpreting detailed furniture construction drawings. This role involves integrating furniture into building layouts, adjusting and arranging furniture on floor plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Furniture Construction & Assembly:
  • Utilize AutoCAD 2D & 3D to create, modify, and review technical drawings related to furniture and room layouts.
  • Interpret and execute detailed furniture construction drawings from line shop drawings, concept photos or project specifications.
  • Develop and produce assembly instructions for K/D furniture, ensuring ease of understanding and execution.
  • Engage in K/D & F/A furniture product engineering, ensuring that designs meet production and assembly requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of technical drawings and constructed furniture to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all technical drawings are fully checked for accuracy and completeness before final approval.
• Building Construction & Layout Implementation:
  • Review and understand building construction drawings, ensuring alignment with floor plan layouts and furniture placement.
  • Collaborate with design teams to accurately place furniture within room layouts, optimizing space usage and aesthetic appeal, checking space circulation.
  • Read and interpret specifications from hotel and apartment projects, ensuring all furniture elements comply with project requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret furniture blueprints, schematics, and floor plans.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in carpentry, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in furniture construction or a similar role.
• Proven experience as a Furniture Technician or similar role in the furniture industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D & 3D, with the ability to create and interpret detailed technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of building construction drawings, including the ability to review and check floor plan layouts.
• In-depth knowledge of furniture construction techniques and materials, with experience in K/D & F/A product engineering.
• Ability to read and understand project specifications from hotel and apartment projects.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Communication and teamwork abilities.
