Objective of role:

General Accountant is to manage and oversee various financial aspects within an organization, ensuring accurate and transparent recording of financial transactions.

Detailed responsibilities/accountabilities

Accounting Tasks:

• Monitor and record the company's buying and selling transactions.
• Identify and track expenses and income related to the company's business activities.
• Prepare consolidated tables of sales, profits, and financial indicators.
• Record, verify, and classify documents, ensuring complete data entry into the accounting system.
• Generate internal statistical reports on a regular basis.
• Plan, organize, and complete annual audit processes.
• Control and manage operational expenses within the annual budget.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to address issues and propose improvements to accounting processes.
• Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with internal control procedures and legal regulations related to accounting and taxes.

Reporting Tasks:

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, periodic tax reports, and management accounting reports as required by management to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal regulations and accounting procedures in the preparation of reports.

Tax-related Documentation Tasks:

• Prepare and submit tax documents on time.
• Monitor the latest laws and regulations regarding taxes and apply them to accounting operations.

Bookkeeping Tasks:

• Bookkeeping of income and expenses, economic transactions such as purchasing goods, services, and assets.
• Record allocation of expenses, such as depreciation expenses, short-term/long-term prepaid expenses.
• Account for depreciation of fixed assets.
• Record salary expenses and other related transactions.
• Perform journal entries for closing.
• Control, reconcile figures.
• Print and store accounting books and documents as required.

Team Management:

• Support accounting team and others for tax and accounting princible.
• Connect and engage team members to work effectively.

• Graduated from a university with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• Good communication skills in English.
• 4-5 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the retail industry.
• Understanding of accounting and tax regulations related to retail, import-export, and accounts receivable.
• Proficient in ERP software and Excel, Powerpoint, presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks, actively advising on accounting management and financial risk management to supervisors.
• Proficient in office computing and data analysis tools.
