The duties and responsibilities of Legal Officerinclude but is not limited to:
Provide legal advice on all revision-related issues to the VGU Board of President;
Assist in preparing comments on draft legal documents, draft contracts, and other legal documents;
Review and contribute legal insights on documents from VGU departments before submission to the Presidential Board;
Guide document formulation according to regulations;
Draft official letters from VGU to authorities as assigned;
Draft and revise contracts and agreements between VGU and other parties;
Review internal regulations of VGU for legal compliance;
Propose and improve templates for official letters in line with Vietnamese legal procedures;
Attend meetings with the department and other stakeholders to address all arising legal matters;
Support administrative issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations;
Coordinate with relevant departments to organize legal training courses for staff as requested;
Participate in legal training courses provided by MoET or other agencies;
Formulate organization structures, functions and tasks of the VGU's units.
Job Requirement
1. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in law, Master's degree is preferable.
2. Experiences:
At least 4 years experiences in legal affairs.
3. Knowledge:
Have in – depth knowledge and skills in law, especially in Public sector and Vietnamese public administration;
Knowledge and understanding of current issues in the higher education sector.
4. Skills
Fluent English in 4 skills;
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
Good organizational skills;
Familiarity with public management; office management procedures;
Ability to manage critical timelines;
Ability to work with different people & on different transactions;
Ability to work effectively either independently or in a team
