OVERALL JOB-SCOPE:
Being an International Forwarding & Logistics company in Vietnam/VNM, having a position as 'Pricing Executive' open, with following overall Job-Scope: 'Follow International Freight Markets and working locally in VNM with Carriers (Ocean and Air) in order to obtain Market-aligned rates to the benefit of Customers; issuing Quotations for Sales Department, Agents and to own Offices around the World (30), analysing Market-data/-trends and making Earning-calculations, and more. - In addition, working with selected 4PL/5PL-Agents on development of Specialty-transports for 'Temperature-controlled' and/or 'Time-critical' cargo.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Market Monitoring and Analysis:
o Track and analyse International Freight Market-trends for both Ocean- and Air-transportation.
o Gather and interpret data on Pricing, Supply and Demand, and Competitor Rates.
o Provide insights and reports on Market conditions to support decision-making processes.
Rate Negotiation:
o Collaborate with locally located Carriers (Ocean and AIR), to negotiate Competitive Rates.
o Ensure Rates obtained are Market-aligned and beneficial to Customers.
o Maintain strong Relationships with Carrier-representatives.
Quotation Management:
o Prepare and issue accurate and timely Quotations for Sales Department, Overseas Agents, and own offices (30 globally).
o Customize Quotations based on specific Customer-needs and Market-conditions.
o Contribute to Quotation-database and ensure regular updates to Manager(s).
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
o Conduct Earning- and Margin-calculations.
o Analyse Costs and provide recommendations for Pricing-adjustments and -decisions.
o Generate regular Reports to track performance against targets and others.
Specialty Transportation Coordination:
o Work with selected 4PL/5PL-Agents to arrange Specialty-transportation for ‘Temperature-controlled’ and/or ‘Time-critical’ cargo.
o Contribute to compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for Specialty-cargo.
o Monitor Performance and Reliability of 4PL/5PL-Agents.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Liaise with Sales Department to understand Customer-requirements and provide tailored Pricing-solutions.
o Communicate effectively with Internal Team(s) and External Partners to ensure smooth operations after Quotation-issuance.
o Participate in regular Meetings and provide updates on Pricing-activities and Market-conditions.
Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on Industry-developments, Best Practices and Regulatory changes.
o Suggest and implement Process-improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in Pricing-operations.
