Job Description

Purpose

  1. Development of an optimal short (13-weeks) and long term (24 months) factory plan to fulfill the market demand while considering the factory capacity and constraints.
  2. High-level understanding of the trade-offs between service, inventory and costs.
  3. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of batch sizes, production routes, existing and future capacity plans/constraints (RCCP) at the manufacturing plant, and knowledge of how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand.
  4. Manage exceptions and other activities related to production planning to ensure SEFI/FINI availability for the master production plan in line with MRP parameters and supplier contracts.
  5. Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
  6. Ensure good communication and integration with other planning teams and stakeholders – Demand, manufacturing (scheduling), logistics and customer care. Drive MDI & gate keeping meetings with other departments and report relevant KPIs to measure performance.
  7. Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities (SLOBs, Inventories and Service across scope site / supply points).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the MPS/MRP process and resolve exceptions in accordance with IBP rules.
  • Master production planning at production plant/ cells level, in line with capacity agreements, for daily/weekly/DC (3 months) horizon.
  • Release of production orders in line with agreement with SITE. Regular review of schedule adherence to drive improvement.
  • Manage demand exceptions with Production and Supply Planning Manager. Support the Site scheduler with analysis, on need basis, to create visibility.
  • To work together with Demand team to understand customer requirements and incorporation in the production plan.
  • To Drive gate keeping meetings with the other departments and support with providing relevant KPI’s to measure performance.
  • Balance service level (OTIF) and inventory targets (OWC), whilst understanding cost impacts on manufacturing.
  • Manage reduction and prevention of slow moving and obsolete stock. Ensure timely rework and scrapping at the site/primary DC.
  • Inputs to inventory strategy including safety stock settings on existing, new and phase-out products.
  • Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
  • Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities.
  • New Product & Process Improvement Planner is responsible for managing the effective launch and implementation of new products for Vietnam
  • Handling launch aspects and verifying the phase in & Phase out inventory levels complies with all project requirements.
  • Drive results and ensure successful collaboration with cross-functional team, such as Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and R&DI
  • Run a simulation on phase in & phase out inventory and recommend the best suitable timelines for NPI launch to control the SLOB & Write-off.
  • Responsible to setup and process end to end FINI MDG process.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes related to project management and new product development.
  • Work along with Manufacturing & R&DI team for Plant trials and meet the Gate timelines.
  • Conduct regular team meetings with cross functional teams, establishing action items and due dates for activities.
  • Develops new approaches to improve or replace existing procedures or systems.

Job Requirement

  • University Education (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant discipline) with Degree or equivalent qualification
  • At least 3-year experience in Supply Planning in FMCG, Paint/Coating or Retail
  • Experience on Supply Planning in SAP and BI
  • Focused on results
  • Good problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate analyses and synthesize recommendations
  • Strong desire to challenge and improve status-quo 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and able to work under-pressure
  • Fluent and able to communicate, write and read in English and Vietnamese is a must.
