Job Description

This Supply Planning Specialist role is to create and administer the production schedule/master shipping schedule for the manufacturing process of a product with supply chain optimization by balancing the capacity, material and resource plan to meet the customer requirement.

  • Provide capacity analysis and generate production scheduling in line with existing shift patterns and agreed capacities.
  • Provide the forecast of JIT materials to Purchasing.
  • Monitor the scheduling process and update the change to Purchasing or/and vendor if there is any variance in the scheduling process.
  • Check and follow up the execution of Purchase order (PO) from ordering time to end-user receiving to ensure materials to be supplied on time in full (OTIF).
  • Reactive to short term changes in the production schedule as a result of machine break-down or material/labor/resource shortfall or customer order/demand change involving relevant stakeholders.
  • Generate and provide clear and accurate information on scheduling and inventory accuracy performance within all areas of manufacturing.
  • Initiate, implement and embed improvements to scheduling process and procedures to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, safety and performance management.
  • Performs other related jobs/tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.

Job Requirement

1. Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, Industrial Management or related majors.

2. Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience working in Supply Planning/ Production scheduling/ Project management is preferred

3. Skills:

  • Fluent English communication
  • Strong knowledge of Supply planning and scheduling
  • Logical thinking, detail-oriented and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Carefulness, Honesty, tidiness.
  • Capable of using planning tools and ERP system
  • Strong in using Excel and Powerpoint
  • Flexible working time.
