Responsibilities:
I. Demand Planning (60%)
1. Forecasting:
- Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and statistical models to predict future product demand;
- Adjust forecasts based on promotional activities, new product launches, and market conditions.
2. Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations;
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
3. Data Analysis:
- Analyze sales data to identify patterns and trends;
- Use software tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel) to create and update demand forecasts.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives;
- Communicate forecast changes and their implications to relevant stakeholders.
Merchandising (40%)
1. Product Selection:
- Determine the product mix and assortment based on customer preferences and market trends;
- Collaborate with product development and purchasing to select products that meet quality and price criteria.
2. Sales Analysis:
- Monitor sales performance of different products and categories;
- Adjust merchandising strategies based on sales data and customer feedback.
