As a key member of the quoting team, you will play a pivotal role in accurately estimating costs related to electronic components, ensuring competitive and precise quotations for potential customers.
This position requires a deep understanding of electronic components, market trends, and excellent analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Component Cost Estimation:
- Analyze requirements and specifications for the electronic components needed for PCBA.
- Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to gather accurate pricing information for electronic components.
- Utilize cost estimation tools and industry knowledge to generate detailed cost breakdowns for component materials.
2. Quotation Preparation:
- Develop comprehensive and competitive quotations by accurately estimating costs associated with electronic components.
- Ensure that component costs align with the company's pricing strategy and profitability goals.
- Work closely with the Quoting Team to integrate component material costs into overall project quotations.
3. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with electronic component suppliers.
- Stay informed about market trends, lead times, and potential supply chain disruptions that may impact component pricing.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms for electronic components.
4. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement staff, Engineering, and Project Management, to gather relevant information for accurate component cost estimation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to address any changes or updates to component requirements.
5. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of component costs, supplier communications, and relevant market information.
- Ensure that all documentation is organized and easily accessible for reference during the quoting process.
