Job Description

Job purpose:

HR Business Partners play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with overall business objectives. They serve as trusted advisors to senior management, providing valuable insights to enhance organizational performance and productivity. By understanding business needs, HR Business Partners develop tailored HR solutions, fostering employee development, talent management, and succession planning. Their strategic focus on workforce planning and employee engagement contributes to creating a positive work culture and driving sustainable business growth.

Main duties:

  1. Act as an advisor to business leaders on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations.
  2. Supports the resolution of complex people and employee relations issues, escalated through HR Operations within agreed governance.
  3. Serve as a liaison with other HR teams such as Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and HR Systems/Operations to coordinate the development and execution of programs, systems, and processes to be used by the brand/business unit to support the business.
  4. Provide guidance to managers and associates for HR related concerns including lower risk associate relations and the performance management process, development of business objectives and individual development plans.
  5. Partner with Total Rewards to communicate and implement programs related to Compensation & Benefits to ensure compliance and to meet the needs of the brand/business unit.
  6. Drive the development and implementation of solutions to employee relations issues.
  7. Promote and establish positive employee relations and promote a high level of employee morale.
  8. Collaborating with HR teams to support employee training and development initiatives, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  9. Other tasks are assigned by HR Head/ BOD.

Job Requirement

Core competencies:

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the hospitality and retail industry would be beneficial.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Customer Focus: Excellent relationship building skills. Has the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • People Skills: Able to interact with people at all levels within the organization including senior level staff. Builds productive internal and external relationships. Ability to collaborate with others to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Adaptability: Tenacious and positive attitude. Responds positively to change in workload or schedule. Ability to work within a team and independently. Ability to work effectively in a fast- paced and ever changing environment with diverse personalities and work styles.
  • Delivers Results: Able to work independently and effectively. Good organizational, able to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously, including some within tight deadlines.

Job requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, written and oral.
  • Technical Experience: Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, demonstrating successful HR strategy development and implementation. Possess in-depth knowledge of HR best practices, talent management, employee engagement, and labor laws.
  • Communication: Good communication skills, written and oral. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organization: Strategic mindset, coupled with a customer-centric approach to HR, focused on driving business success through effective HR solutions.
